Welcome to Canines Have Crowns, a community service initiative dedicated to helping dogs in need across Georgia.
Our whole goal is to connect people like you with the dedicated dog rescues in our state. Every dog totally deserves a loving family and a second chance, and we can make that happen together!
We're all about raising awareness and sharing what these rescues need most. Whether you're looking to adopt a new best friend, donate supplies, give money, or just get involved, you’re in the right place. Let's do this!

Dog rescues across Georgia are full, and they need our help. Your donation, even a small one, can make a huge difference, whether it’s money or supplies. Rescues always need things like dog food, blankets, toys, and cleaning stuff. Check out our Rescues page to find a list of organizations and their specific needs.

Thinking about a furry new family member? Fostering or adopting a dog is one of the best things you can do. When you adopt, you're not just getting a pet; you're literally saving a life. And fostering is great too—you give a dog a safe place to crash while they wait for their forever home, which frees up space at the rescue for another dog in need.
Rescues have tons of events all year, like adoption days, fundraisers, and dog walks. These are a fun way to meet dogs, learn more about rescues, and hang out with other dog lovers. Our founder, Caroline, can often be found volunteering at events for Paw Angels Rescue in her hometown of Calhoun, Georgia. Look at our Events calendar to see what's coming up.
Canines Have Crowns was founded by dog lover Caroline Surratt, Miss Flint River's Teen. Caroline’s love of animals started at a young age. Diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and OCD, Caroline has always had a special connection with animals. Now a middle school student, titleholder in the Miss America Teen organization, and passionate advocate for rescue dogs, Caroline is excited to expand her platform to bring awareness and help to dog rescues across Georgia.
Sign up to get updates on what rescues need, fun upcoming events, and heartwarming stories of dogs finding their homes. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of Georgia's dogs.
Because every rescue dog deserves to be treated like royalty.
